Thermtest reveal their Measurement Platform (MP-1)

The versatile MP-1 combines multiple methods to measure the absolute thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat of solids, liquids, pastes and powders.

The methods available are transient plane source, transient hot wire, transient line source and transient hot strip with testing. The abilities of the MP-1 are greatly expanded with the addition of Thermtest’s proprietary Temperature Platform (TP) which is appreciated by academic and commercial users alike. Blueshift's AeroZero® Flame

Our AeroZero® Flame and Thermal Barrier (AZ-TPS FTB) includes at least one layer of our AeroZero film with a flame-resistant protection system layer bonded on one or both sides of the film. Typical use is fire and thermal protection of parts exposed to flames and high temperatures. The barrier has been tested for 25+ minutes with ~1,000 ºC flame with no resulting burn-through of the material. The flame barrier reduces heat transfer during thermal events and can protect from thermal runaway in battery systems. Additionally, the AZ-TPS FTB has a thin profile (ranging from ~46 mil) that allows it to be an excellent replacement for intumescent coatings, cork, and mica. Linseis reveal their TIM-Tester (Thermal Interface Material Tester)

Thermal Interface Material Tester (TIM-Tester) is the perfect solution for thermal management optimization of these complex systems.
The TIM Tester measures the thermal impedance of sample materials and identifies an apparent thermal conductivity for a wide range of materials from liquid compounds and pastes to hard solid materials. The approach is consistent with the ASTM D5470 – standard.
